Note to Self: Get Focused!

Enough of this last minute frenzy! I know better and need to start acting more responsible! Last Saturday's weigh in was a wake up call and a new chance to get serious. After spinning, running, lifting and saunaizing to try and stay in the competition, I realized that I am only cheating myself. Thank you Lighten Up for a second chance!

Telling Weigh In

I am dreading this weekend's weigh in because I don't think that I'm going to make the three pounds needed to stay in the "competition". My body can fluctuate 3-5 pounds on any given day so I'm not too sure where I stand. I have lost inches and feel great about that, so all is not lost. I will continue my quest to get and remain healthier and fit. Thank you Lighten Up for this opportunity.

Weekend Challenges

I love weekends but they pose many challenges. First of all, there is food and drink a plenty and lots of free time to indulge. That's not all bad but I can become weak when faced with too many temptations. This weekend, I am having out of state guests coming to visit and couldn't be more thrilled. There will be lots to eat and drink and sitting around catching up. Fortunately, I have my Saturday morning fitness marathon to start it off and we are all participating in a 5K run/walk on Sunday. So all is not lost in the diet/weight department. Fingers are crossed and blinders are on!

Barely Squeaked By . . .

Not too proud of this month's loss. Sweating-dreading this weigh in is incentive for me to step it up.There were several factors, not excuses, for my miniscule weight loss. First, I hurt my knee and couldn't work out as much. Secondly, I vacationed with Kate for six days in Florida. Finally, I didn't track my food and portion control was out the window this month. With all of that said, next month will be an improvement, I promise!
