Slow, Slow, Slow

My weight loss is currently stagnant but I am not willing to throw in the towel. I enjoy my healthier lifestyle and will never go back to where I was in 2009. My weight may fluctuate daily but I am more conscious of it than ever before and that helps me stay in check.

Birthday Weekend

On Saturday, we celebrated my husband's 56th birthday by cycling 56 miles. Dave designed the route which began at our house and ended at Chalet Debonne. He estimated that it would take between three to four hours and it wound up being 3 hours and 52 minutes. We pulled into the winery's parking lot at 56.1 miles. Talk about careful planning. It was a great way to commerate his day and burning 1,300 calories was a sweet benefit. He's now thinking about how to acknowledge his next birtday. At least, I have 363 days to prepare.

Up but not out

I realized that after seeing my increase of three pounds in the News Herald today, I'm up but not out. The number on the scale is not my sole motivation. I took my measurements and everything is down except my thighs (Thank you, Dad). I've been cycling alot with my husband and couldn't feel better. I am doomed to have larger thighs so I have to get over it. My main goal is to be healthy and find a weight that I can maintain. I know that I still need to lose more and it will happen.
